We are Sixgen Design. We dress short-term stays in Kentucky and western North Carolina. The people who write us own or invest in houses that cannot be furnished from a catalog and left. The budget is real: a full furnish in six figures, a refresh that guests should not clock, a single room that has to carry the listing.

We walk the property. Our rooms are written for the guest, the photograph, and the morning after checkout. We specify pieces that housekeeping can reset without a restyle, and we leave a house that still feels occupied when no one is in it.

How we work

We work the rooms, not a mood board.

Owners come to us with a date, a listing, and a number. We turn that into a specified floor: beds that turn the same day, lamps for an arrival after dark, a path for bags. We do not decorate around a theme.

Through install

We stay with the house until the photograph holds.

The work is not a drawing we hand off. We order, we place, we stand in the room and move a chair until the listing still works after checkout. Then we leave a house that can take the next guest without us.
